A Head Coach should checks these items before a game starts to avoid any issues during the game.
FIELD: If you are the first game of the day you determine if the field will be used or not for the day.
Is the field 100 yards + 2x10 yard endzones and 53 yards wide? OR for non-playoff games,
Is the field 80 yards + 2x10 yard endzones and 53 yards wide?
Is the field safe, meaning no ants, major cracks, rocks, things sticking up, or bleachers to close to field etc?
Is the field marked correctly? Frame, lines every 10 yards, endzones marked.
If any of these in your oppinion is NO, challenge the field with the Referees. As soon as 1 play is run, it is too late for the day.
SETUP:
Are the teams split, one team on each side of the field? This is required.
Are the chains on the home side of the fields? This is required.
FOOTBALLS: Wilson Leather Football is the only authorized football. In the Fall, it must have a TYFA logo on it.
K2 (7u and 9u), TDJ (11u), and TDY (13u)
GUARDIAN TYPE HELMETS: Any player with one must match in color to the other helmets.
PLAYERS:
All players must be in the TYFA WebApp with no holds of any type. A minimum of 11 players to avoid a forfeit.
All players must be in Dress Code compliance.
In Fall, the Home/Away jersey policy is in effect. Visitor must be in WHITE.
Jerseys must have policy compliant numbers.
Visors must be CLEAR.
No overbuilt facemasks.
Casts must be wrapped.
Mouth pieces for all players on the field.
Correct cleats, compliant towels and hand-warmers.
Only 2 communication devices on players. One for offense and one for defense.
VOLUNTEERS:
All volunteers must be in the TYFA WebApp with no holds of any type. A minimum of 2 (7u) or 1 (9u, 11u, 13u) volunteers to avoid a forfeit.
All volunteers must be in Dress Code compliance.
10+3 sideline staff compliance.
